Comparing the 2020 Jeep® Grand Cherokee Against the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

Buying an SUV can leave you with plenty of choices and at our Chrysler, RAM, Dodge, and Jeep® dealership we certainly offer a selection to choose from. One of the top-ranking SUVs at Brooklyn Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and many of our customers ask us, ‘how does this Jeep SUV compare against the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross?’

The 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is an SUV that seems to have a lot of promise, although when put to task things tend to fall through. There is only a single powertrain available in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and it takes the form of a 1.5-liter turbo-four that is only rated for 152 horsepower and funnels that power through a rather clunky CVT. Cargo spacing is also rather abysmal, with only 22 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats, which is rather problematic, as both cargo and engine power tend to define the value of an SUV.

On the other hand, the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee lives up its initial promises. For starters, the base engine on the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a punchy 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 295 horsepower and 260 the lb-ft worth of torque. Next, instead of using an unreliable CVT, the Jeep Grand Cherokee channels its power through a nimble eight-speed automatic transmission. And that is but one of many powertrains available in higher trims in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Behind the second row there is a remarkable 36.3 cubic feet of cargo space and if you fold that second row down things balloon to a pretty impressive 63 cubic feet of cargo space.

So, as you can tell the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is a beast of power and utility, and you can take a test drive here at Brooklyn Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. We’re proud to be NYC’s number one auto provider.
